A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to try out Yoga Outlet for the first time. I was offered the chance to order a pair of leggings from their site and see how the process and the product compared to my previous experiences of ordering yoga clothes online direct from brand sites.
Now, I’m the first to tell people that you don’t need name brand fancy clothes to practice yoga or to workout (Rocky Balboa trained in sweatpants that had a hole above one knee and still defeated Apollo Creed), but having the proper attire can make the difference in range of motion, motivation, and even confidence. When I’m practicing yoga, I want to wear something I can move in without restriction, something that keeps “everything” in place, and, I’m not above admitting that if it looks nice, all the better. Being a minimalist, even as much as I love fashion, shopping is not my favorite. I tend to stick with pieces that I can wear with a lot of different pieces I already own and I’d rather spend for quality over quantity. But, if I can get quality for less? All. the. better.
I was happy to see all my favorite brands available on the Yoga Outlet site…Alo Yoga, Onzie, Teeki, Free People, Om Shanti and more. In fact, the day I went to check them out, they offered over 300 different yoga pants/leggings in my size alone, most at a discounted price. Selection? Check. I was glad to see my favorites, as I wanted to order a brand I had previously ordered directly so I could compare the experiences.
I found the Yoga Outlet website to be easy to navigate and I loved that I could narrow my search by brand, size, cost, and color simultaneously. I’m a pretty busy person, so if I have to take more than a few minutes to find what I’m looking for, then you’ve probably already lost my business. That being said, I spent quite a long while deciding which leggings I wanted to order. (Did I mention selection?) I finally decided upon the Onzie power yoga leggings in black and white. They are designed with sleek vertical panels, one white and one mesh. I can use them for yoga and with the white stripe, they would offer me more visibility to motorists when I go for a run.
During yoga they stayed put, and offered a great range of motion.
They already matched a couple of my yoga shirts and one of my favorite warm up shirts. On a run another day, they performed well. I loved how they were the exact same quality as previous leggings I had ordered directly from Onzie. I also loved the side leg panels. The mesh panel was stylish but still modest.
I was offered a pair of free yoga pants/leggings in exchange for my honest opinion of the Yoga Outlet site. All opinions are my own.
